13 Unusual Tricks To Clean Your Vehicle

When maintaining your car you have to clean it regularly. Cleaning your car is not a difficult task especially if you know the tricks. You should focus a lot on wheel wash since your wheels can change the appearance of your car instantly. Wheel wash is also very important since the wheels collect more dirt than any other part of the car. The cleaning tricks include;

1. Hair conditioner for maximum shine.

Wash your car using a hair conditioner containing lanolin. The car will have a freshly waxed look and it will even repel rain. During wheel wash use the lanolin hair conditioner as it will give your wheels that awesome glossy look.

2. Fizz the windshields clean with some cola.

Your windshield may be very dirty with grime. Stretch a towel below the windshield so as to protect the hood paint. Pour the cola over the glass and it will remove the blotches and dirt. Just make sure you clean the cola thoroughly so that it does not attract dirt and dust.

3. Use Vodka.

You can use vodka to make more windshield washer when the reservoir is low. Find the cheapest vodka. Mix 3 cups of this vodka with 4 cups of water and 2 teaspoons of liquid dishwashing detergent. Shake well in a screw-top gallon jug and add as much as is needed in the reservoir.

4. Use window cleaner.

Keep your headlights as polished as possible by using some window cleaner and rubbing vigorously. You can use an old panty hose to help with the rubbing.

5. Use baby wipes.

They may be stored in your glove compartment. They will help you clean your windows and window shield by rubbing.

6. Alternative to windshield washing fluid.

Feminine hygiene maxi-pads could do the job pretty well. Just hold the pad on the sticky side and rub your windshield vigorously. It will shine once you have done the wiping well.

7. Cleaning your blades.

Make a solution of 1 quart cold water to a 1/4 cup of household ammonia. Lift the blades and wipe them with a soft cloth dipped in this solution. Dry the cloth using a dry towel and replace the blades.

8. Cleaning your windows and windshields.

The same solution that you have used to clean your blades will also clean your windows and windshield. Store it in a bottle and use it whenever the need arises.

9. Using baking-soda cleaner.

Pour 1/4 cup of dishwashing liquid and 1/4 cup of baking soda in to a jug that is gallon-sized. Add water and shake well. The concentrate can now be used for wheel wash which is something most people forget.

10. Removing back-road dirt.

Sprinkle some tartar on the windshield and then remove with soapy water. Rinse and wipe dry and it will be clean.

11. How to Avoid Waxing.

Add a cup of kerosene to 3 gallons of water while cleaning your car. You will not need to spray the car or apply wax. It will repel water.

12. Watching The Heat.

Do not wash the car when it is too hot such as after driving as it may result in deposits or soapy splotches.

13. Avoid air drying.

Do not drive around in your car when it is wet. Dry it using a dry cloth to avoid leaving unsightly marks on the exterior.
