It’s All Work And No Play –

It’s understandable that most bosses will not want their staff messing around or running personal errands on the company’s time but all work and no play makes for a very unhappy workforce. It may sound materialistic but the fact is that a lot of us are driven by money and this is the first thing we consider when looking for a job. Empty promises will just frustrate them and give them more ammunition to look for another job, whereas if you sit down and explain the current situation with them they will be able to see the company’s vision and realise that opportunities will eventually present themselves. The worst thing you can do is promise something you can’t come through on as this will just compound their initial feeling of dissatisfaction.
